Job Summary:
Perform medically-necessary routine and specialty dental services. It is important to note that in addition to routine dental care, this position will also provide dental care to medically-compromised patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Patient Care
·Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to identify any issues such as cavities, gum disease, or other oral health problems.
·Utilize diagnostic tools such as radiographs, oral health devices and instruments, and other equipment to determine the state of patients' oral health.
·Develop comprehensive treatment plan to address oral health issues, including the necessary procedures, specialist care interventions, preventive care and a maintenance plan.
Preventive Care
·Educate patients about proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and the importance of regular prophylaxis and oral health exams.
·Provide preventive treatments such as fluoride applications, sealants, and professional cleanings to assist in the prevention oral health dental issues.
Restorative Procedures
·Remove decay and unsupported tooth structure and replace with appropriate restorative materials to restore tooth structure and function.
·Design and place crowns and bridges to restore tooth structure and replace missing dentition to restore function.
·Perform endodontic treatment to remove inflamed and/ or infected pulp and restore the affected tooth (teeth).
Cosmetic Dentistry
·Offer teeth whitening treatments to enhance the appearance of patients' dentition.
·Apply veneers to improve the aesthetics of patients' dentition.
Surgical Procedures
·Perform tooth extractions for severely damaged or decayed teeth that are no longer a viable component of the dentition.
·Conduct minor oral surgeries, such as biopsies or the removal of benign lesions.
·Reflecting the ginigva to provide appropriate access to allow for the removal of deep-seated calculus.
Patient Records and Documentation
· Accurately document patients' medical and dental histories, oral health instruction, treatment plans, treatments, and progress notes.
·Ensure the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs

- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.??

- Must be able to successfully complete the AMI and Indian Health Service Credentialing Processes.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of two years (concurrent) experience providing oral healthcare
- CODA Dental School Graduate
- Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
- Contractor shall have an active and unrestricted state license to practice dental medicine in the State of Arizona, or, one of the other 49 states in the USA, in the District of Columbia, or in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

- Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
- Fluent in English.
- Vaccinations as required.
- Sensitivity to cross-cultural and language differences
- Ability to work through interpreters as necessary.
