About the Project/Clinic:
AMI will be working with the Republic of Nauru to strengthen healthcare delivery, enhance operational standards, and improve the overall health and wellbeing of the local population.
Job Summary:
As part of AMI’s ongoing collaboration with the Nauru Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OBGYN) to provide comprehensive care to the local population. The role includes a focus on obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, surgical procedures, and working with AMI to support quality improvement and capacity building.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide medical care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the female reproductive system.
Conduct routine checkups, prenatal care, and postnatal care.
Physicians typically see approximately 5 to 6 patients per day (low Volume)
Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate patient records and follow up on treatment plans.
The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Education & Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN or FM/IM.
Any active (applicable) medical license is valid for this position.
BLS, ACLS, PALS
Additional Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
