About the Project/Clinic:

AMI will be assisting in providing medical staff to the Rosebud Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Rosebud, South Dakota to help deliver compassionate and quality healthcare to patients in the area.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The NP/PA will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients across a variety of acute and chronic conditions. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.

· Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and injuries in collaboration with supervising physicians as needed.

· 20-bed hospital with onsite hospitalist, 36 hours of MD coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage per day.

· Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, wound care, joint injections, and other approved interventions.

· Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

· Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.

· Excellent communication and time management skills.

· Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

Education & Experience:

· Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of practice.

· Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.

· Current BLS and ACLS certification required.

· Minimum 3 years of ER experience required.
