AMI Expeditionary Healthcare (AMI) is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to support the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services to our nation’s Veterans. The Pharmacy Technician provides comprehensive pharmacy support services under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. This role supports inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, medication preparation and dispensing, inventory management, compounding activities, and customer service functions while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, VA, and pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, labeling, dispensing, and distribution activities.
• Process prescription orders accurately and support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Maintain medication inventory, stock levels, and proper storage and security of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding and perform dosage calculations as assigned.
• Verify medication orders and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Provide excellent customer service to Veterans, caregivers, and healthcare staff, assisting with prescription inquiries and medication pickup.
• Utilize VA pharmacy systems and electronic medical records, including CPRS and EHR platforms, to document pharmacy activities accurately.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, USP standards, VA policies, and all applicable pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior pharmacy experience, including hospital or VA experience, is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Ability to successfully complete the AMI credentialing process.
